How to Avoid Energy Drainers and Reclaim Your Vitality

by | Happiness, Uncategorized

Have you ever stopped to consider how your energy is distributed throughout the week?

If you started Monday with 100% energy, where does it all go by the time Friday rolls around?

You’re juggling work, family, and maybe some me-time squeezed in there. But I bet most of that energy’s getting sucked up by work. It’s not just the hours at the office; it’s the mental and emotional load that comes with it.

The unfinished tasks, the emails left unread, the meetings that never seem to end—they take a toll.

I’ve been there!

I’ve seen days where work takes up 90% of my energy, leaving scraps for everything else.

And that’s the perfect recipe for burnout.

Take my client Sarah, for example. Mom of two, killer career—she was running on fumes. Work was consuming her energy, leaving very little for her family or herself.

Sound familiar?

So, we decided to shake things up.

First step? Tackle those negative thoughts

You know, the ones that whisper you’re not good enough or nobody appreciates you? Turns out, they were sucking the life out of her.

Next… Ditch the mindless scrolling and Netflix binges. No more numbing out—time to face reality.

With mindfulness as our guide, we set some boundaries

Work stays at work.

And downtime is sacred.

She started carving out moments for herself and that made a world of difference.

Now, I’m not saying it was easy. Changing habits never is. But little by little, she started feeling more like herself with more energy, more joy, more zest for life.

So, if you’re feeling stuck in the energy drain, know that you’re not alone.

And also, you can change it.

Set boundaries, challenge those negative thoughts, and prioritize self-care like it’s your job.

Trust me, your future self will thank you for it.
