Did you know that fulfillment can happen instantly by making the right choices in life, choices that are connected to your values and what you really care for. For instance, if what you value in life are your kids, spending quality time with them will make you happy and fulfilled. All you need to do is prioritize it, and make the conscious choice to make it happen. That’s how easy fulfillment can be achieved.

“Fulfillment is free and not a process, just a simple choice” – Andrea.

10 things NOT to do if you want to live a fulfilling life

  1. Forget about your values – Values are the fuel that keeps us going, the rail that keeps us in track. If you are not clear on what you really care for in life, then you are most likely to engage on actions that take you far from a fulfilling life. Take some time off to journal and get clear on what your values are, you will be amaze how your priorities change.
  2. Have a mess with your priorities – It is no science, that some things are more important than others. By not organizing our priorities, we tend to spend too much time on things that don’t really matter.
  3. Don’t listenFrancisco {Husband} always tells me, in a very loving way “ Shut up and listen!” do this for 24 hours, don’t give your opinion or feedback, just listen. You will be amazed to see how much you have been missing.
  4. Make your life about your needs not others – When you put your energy out there, for the purpose of serving and helping others, you get an immediate sense of fulfillment. Although a nice spa day of self-indulge doesn’t hurt anyone, just don’t over do it.
  5. Don’t be curious – Curiosity is the mother of creativity, without curiosity we all become sterile human beings.
  6. Assume – Ask, clear your assumptions. You will save lots of time and energy.
  7. Take life too serious – Make time to play and lighten up. Dance naked!
  8. Don’t make time for friends and family – Unity is an awesome feeling. Getting together with the people we care for in life is one of the most fulfilling things to do.
  9. Expect– Every time you expect you are setting yourself up for failure. What needs to happen will happen. What won’t happen is not meant to happen.
  10. Keep going – Stop!! Only in solitude you can reflect on what needs to happen next.

A final thought on fulfillment…

Is not about some day filling your life up, is about capping off every day with the things which matter most in your life.
