Magic

It is never too late to start living your life’s purpose.

Take sometime alone with your journal and do this exercise {A journey to your past}. Write down what you see and how it relates to how you wish to create your life today.

It is such an intimate task, once you start you will begin to discover some buried treasures.

DETECTIVE WORK, AN EXERCISE {From “The Artist’s Way”}

A little sleuth work is in order to restore the person we have abandoned {ourselves}. When you complete the following phrases, you may feel strong emotions as you retrieve memories and misplaced fragments of yourself. Allow yourself to free-associate for a sentence or so with each phrase.

  1. My favorite childhood toy was . . .
  2. My favorite childhood game was . . .
  3. The best movie I ever saw as a kid was . . .
  4. I don’t do it much but I enjoy . . .
  5. If I could lighten up a little, I’d let myself  . . .
  6. If it weren’t too late, I’d . . .
  7. My favorite musical instrument is . . .
  8. I am afraid that if I start dreaming . . .
  9. My favorite way to dress is . . .

I am curious to know what you discovered. We are all born with our own unique passions. Unfortunately sometimes life, society, parents, teacher, etc., tend to buried them with a bunch of rules about what is proper to their eyes, and we end up giving up our passions and dreams to fit in and make others happy. It is never too late to claim who YOU really are.
